Strategic Communications

The Crisis Team’s strategic communications practice focuses on helping organizations earn the understanding and support they need to achieve their goals. We advise leaders on how decisions will be received, what a convincing case requires, and how communications can advance a larger business or institutional purpose. Our work starts with the client’s objectives and the people whose judgments will help determine whether those objectives can be achieved.

We research what those audiences believe, identify the questions that matter to them, and develop a clear position supported by evidence. From that foundation, we build communications programs that connect leadership, media relations, digital content, and direct engagement. We prepare executives for important conversations, give internal teams a coherent account of the strategy, and measure whether the work is changing understanding and behavior.

Clients may be introducing a new technology, preparing for investment, managing a leadership transition, or explaining a substantial change in direction. A founder may need to translate technical achievement into a credible growth story; an established institution may need to renew the confidence of employees or partners. We help each client determine what to say, when to act, and how to make its communications reflect the substance of its work.
